It gets better.... For dinner i pop in to another new restaurant. Decently done and all. I open the drinks menu and first up. Single Malt and Talisker.
Remembered vrikodhara and the good old days in Hyderabad. Nostalgia wave i order. The waiter comes and asks, "Can i get 2?" . Mildly irritated I ask why should I and he replies "We are having a promotion here. Buy 2 get 3 free". CAN YOU BEAT IT!!!!
Incidently Delhi doesnt sell booze in retail shops like in say Bangalore nor does it have friendly neighbourhood wine shops like in Bangalore. They have Govt run set ups far few in numbers compared to Bangalore but littered all around the place. A few retailers sell only beer.
Anyways waswandering around in the market i was looking for a place to buy some beer and find a retailer. The display board was very interesting. Big standard display with red background reading
"BEER COSMETICS UNDERGARMENTS"

M starting to love this place.
Every weekend on Friday, i leave office and go to a nearby movie hall and i always get to see movies on the first day. I dont know if its the peoples taste or the large number of movie halls... I love it
Some of the movies seen on first day - jane tu, kung fu panda, hancock, the dark knight [:D]
The best part is to watch most of the english/foreign language movies (the life of others . nice) the hall is half empty and you get a choice of seats :D
Another discovery made last week. Golf is accessible for the masses here (yeah). 30 bucks entry, 10 bucks club, 50 bucks a 50 bucket and close by to my office.. cant ask for more (stamina has gone for the dogs :( )
Things are looking better!!!

Observations
1. Delhi is very hot.
2. A decent place in Delhi to stay is very expensive.
3. Its not that bad a place as I feared.
4. U need ur own wheels if u want to even travel inside Delhi on weekends
5. NCR viz. Gurgaon, Noida and Ghaziabad are FAR....
6. Metro is operational in a tiny part of New Delhi NCR.
7. The roads are good
8. Experiment on road traffic and make a chaos out of it
7. Shitload of cars
Well it rained a lot this time here in New Delhi.... newspapers claim, the highest ever. So been trucking around fine with the weather here. But its still hot.
Work is different....

All went well, but also ensured another long break, but this time a home arrest and 0 alcohol .
Saw almost all the shows that came in TV, read a bit, ate a lot, learned a bit of cooking. Friends I knew were getting married left right and centre. Hmmm people are not waiting as they used to Gah!
I had a lot of time. Idle time
Facebook lol.
Come April a new part of the work life starts from Delhi with a new profile.
I have realized I have hardly traveled. Chippu is there in Delhi and is well placed for short weekly jumps. Hope for the best.
Hope to have my first pair wheels by May. Well depends on the Doc’s final verdict on 7th April.

Felt like, been to a real concert...atlast
Stoned/Drunk/Comfortably Numb...people of all ages, sex, creed were here. I was lucky to be there
It was easy to find the venue that day. A Sea of Black coming out of every pub/bar or any watering hole imaginable with only one way to go.
Generally I have been lazy and then really busy lately.
So y now. I don’t know. Think I just wanted to think out aloud for a change or something…..
Anyway I have joined my company er that will be CitiFinancial in Bangalore on the 22nd May. Work is great and I have been as they put it I was “at the right place at the right time”
So I have been working like crazy for the past three months, hmmm come to think of it, time sure as hell flies. 3 months already wow.
So I stand today after another crazy month end (guess this month was even more crazy with some new regulations and stuff in place) and an ensured hectic month of September, I thing wht the hell am I doing. I realize I am both happy and depressed at the same time.
For these months I have been here I have hardly met any of my friends in Bang coz I am generally busy and Sundays I am so tired I try not to get out of home. I make up some excuses. Over the past there months I have been to a pub only twice that too arriving at 2230 hrs. I hardly watch any new movies. I hardly listen to music, ages since i read anything new, haven’t met anyone new for a very long time. Though it doesn’t sound much as far as I am concerned my life as I have known has really changed a lot.
At the same time work has been good, I am getting noticed at all the right places, but is it worth the change.
I am confused.

4th semester is such a drag.
People all around are getting placed, party mode is on, the authorities are getting smarter, attendance is getting stricter, projects are all piling up. Bored
I needed a challenge in life. I joined a swimming pool (the one close to the flyover in Secunderabad). My timings are at 7-8 in the morning. THAT is the challenge. PLUS its cold in the mornings.(U neednt compare how cold it is out there). And i am living up to it. He he he.....Been doing it with a 100% efficiency for the last 2 days i went.
I was never a morning person in my entire life. The school i studied till 12th was very close to my house. So 8 o clock was the time i got up. So the only time i got up early in my life was when i studied Karate for 2 years when i woke thrice a week at 0530, courtesy my dad kicking me out of the bed. The other occassons were the rare one's where i had to go for a trip or something. Hence the first time i got up regularly in my life at 6 in the morning was in RECW, courtesy my seniors and courtesy the "introduction" phase. But once that was done with RECW changed to a haven for sleeping. One of my seniors quipped this as a plus point of the college. "No matter the time of the year or the time of the day, you can always sleep". And i can tell from my experiences, hell yeah.
So the last two days were a revelation. It is so strange. I had breakfast "in the morning". It was something i last did so long ago that i have no recollection. Time always used to race past me in the past in the mornings. But these days, its just seem to hang around as if it is feeling lazy in the brief chill of the morning.
I can now have breakfast, finish my paper and still get to college on time. WIERD

I read somewhere any person needs to have immediate circle of atleast 20 people around him/her to remain sane. It is also said that the cruelest form of torture a man can suffer is be alone.
Is it so hard or bad to be alone, to live in ones fancy lands. The world then says that you have gone insane. Bottomline should you listen to the world or to yourself. Tough call.
The ever increasing intricasies of the world has labelled man as a social animal and one has to become one to be accepted in the society. So to become a social animal one has to become the part of the system, and the boundaries of the system lay obscure seeping from the age old beleifs and traditions and wht not. So a man is perhaps being tuned since his birth to listen to others rather than himself. Agreed it is the easier way to exist in the system and also exit the system in the final moment of your life. They say he/she had a good life.
There are lot of talks about life after death. Since there is no concrete proof of this i assume for the discussion that there is only one life. One and only one life that continously ticks. Looking at the overall picture, life is like a railway station. One train comes goes and then another comes. Like the various destinations the train goes and the various types of classes in the train the people also choose various destinations in life and reach that destination in various levels of comforts. Like train the journey may be abruptly cut short by a accident, but the finality of the journey is sure. There is a final destination. THe ENd
So comming back a man's actions in the society, i am not talking about the inventions/discoveries et al, but about the interaction with the fellow elements in the society, should be bound by the system rather than taking actions listening to himself.
Was this the reason some of the famous personalities in the yester years were called eccentric??

2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I'll pick a flavor of jello to wrestle with you in.
4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me.
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
8. If I do this for you, you must post this on your journal. You MUST. It is written
All my life i thought that to be happy you needed freedom. The complete freedom to do anything you want. But eventhough i had much freedom i didnt do much or rather do as much as i should have.
Talking to a friend of mine put me in a different perspective. Its is not the freedom, but the sacrifices you make while doing something you cherish that makes you happy. Interesting point
M off to a field trip organized by the class to the SOS organization in Hyderabad.

Thanks
psasidar for this. Simple but powerful...made me smile ...and happy.
The weather in Hyderabad is amzing these days. Its raining all the time. Its actually a phenomenon worth watching here. U will have heavy rains lasting for 10 minutes and half of hyderabad is flooded. Take my college for example, 10 minutes of rain and u will have the roads filled with ankle deep of water. The day it rained for half an hour, it remained me of the flood waters in Kerala. Crazy place (bad drainage system) .
M getting drenched all the time, the weather is amazing out here, and this started giving me nostalgia of Kerala esp the school days in monsoon. But hey the traffic really suck then
Oh Oh
vrikodhara i went to marco polo yesterday and then went for their midnight biriyani. Dude u probably missed the best biriyani in Hyderabad. It was atleast the BEST and i mean the BEST hyderabadi biriayni i had. Awesome (my mouth waters thinking abt it)
Got a chance to see a bit of the Ashes yesterday at a pub.England rocks and this match is favoring the English at present. But u can never underestimate the Aussies.Hope rain wont play spoil sport. Its gonna be a great match.
i never was much of a fan of stephen king. But recently at a book fair out of impulse i bought The Dark Tower I,II, III. I feel stupid now. Coz the guy is GOOD. Reading III now and i was lucky(probable not.. beatzo is out of town :D) to get it in a Frankfurt sale for 100 bucks. Hard cover ones with the artwork
Wish u all a happy long weekend.

harldy gotta sleep yesterday/today whatever. Had a pretty stale day. Somehow made to my presentation on time (Yeah yeah i know.. its a sin to have presentation on a Saturday), just to find that it has been postponed. Got some really good work with Cygnus (part time Business analyst), which is good but also mean that i gotta work plus its gots some impossible deadlines.
I was just wondering...to all u people who are working.
When they set a deadline, do they set it so that no one can complete on time or do deadlines actually serve a purpose??
